Gattis wharf – Islington

This building consists of apartments converted from a Victorian warehouse in North London, all works was carried out under supervision of Charted surveyors.

Works carried out comprise of full external timber repairs and decoration to Gattis Wharf and yard. All timber repairs were carried out using Windowcare wood repair system (DryFlex 4). Bare and previously painted timber was primed, undercoated and finished in a gloss paint using a Dulmux Weathersheld paint system.  

The apartments are accessed by a metal gantry which was painted using a specialist marine coating paint system.

Scope of works comprised: structural repairs including replacement of lintels and brick window arches, rebuilding of defective brickwork, stitch bonding and stabilizing of structurally unsound brick work. Re-pointing of face brickwork, repairs to and replacement of defective stucco work. Replacement of lead, asphalt and slate roofs. Replacement of timber sash windows and French doors, repairs and replacement of internal period cornice, full preparation and external redecoration.
