We Are Planting Trees to Grow a Future

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we’ve proudly partnered with Plant One Cornwall to support reforestation through their Nature Positive Transaction Scheme. So far, our contributions have helped plant native tree saplings in a temperate rain forest habitat at the Cabilla site in Cornwall.

Plant One focuses on restoring ecosystems, increasing biodiversity and building climate resilience. As a registered Community Interest company, every penny they receive goes directly into planting trees for the benefit of the environment.

By supporting this initiative, we’re helping offset carbon, combat climate change, and play our part in protecting the natural world for future generations.

“Plant One’s site at Cabilla is a fantastic example of a temperate rain forest habitat that we’re helping to expand. Species we’ve planted here include:

Sessile Oak, Downy Birch, Alder, Rowan, Aspen and Wild Cherry. A total of 30,000 trees covering 100 acres have been planted at this site over the past three years.

Gemini Builder’s invaluable contribution to this project not only allowed us to plant these trees, but also gives us the opportunity to work at the site for at least three years, ensuring this upland will fully develop into a thriving woodland habitat! Activities that we’ll carry out include the protection of natural regeneration and removal of invasive species. In addition, our site at Cabilla is designed to accept the UK Government’s reintroduction programs, such as Pine Marten, White Storks and Beavers, which may one day call the woodlands ‘home'”.
